On November 30, the Ratzkeller was filled with excitement and nostalgia as a celebration of 50 years of IHSA volleyball brought together Red Bud High School coaches, players, friends, and family. The evening was not only a tribute to the sport’s rich history but also a momentous occasion for the Red Bud Musketeers Booster Association.
During the event, the Boosters proudly announced Coach Sandy Griffin as the first-ever honorary inductee into the Musketeer Sports Hall of Fame. This prestigious recognition highlights Coach Griffin’s outstanding contributions to Red Bud athletics and her lasting impact on the Musketeer community.
The announcement was made by Hall of Fame committee members Tim Liefer, Danny Moll, and Alan Piel, who posed for a commemorative photo with Coach Griffin. Committee members Darren Liefer and Matt Shields were unable to attend the event.
Mark your calendars for April 12, 2025, when the induction ceremony will officially honor Coach Griffin’s legacy.
Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to celebrate this incredible milestone in Musketeer sports history!
